Jessica Niskin is the founder of Show Me the Carbon, a company focused on helping agricultural producers thrive through the sustainable use of biochar and other environmental solutions. With a background in composting, carbon sequestration, and biochar manufacturing, Jessica is deeply committed to promoting sustainability in the agricultural sector, particularly in Southwest Iowa. Her company's products are carbon negative and help sequester carbon for hundreds to thousands of years.
In addition to biochar production, Jessica is involved in biochar research, including testing hog manure treatments and biochar saturation, as well as working with wastewater and biochar systems for environmental remediation. Jessica is an 8.5-year military veteran and has a passion for advocating for beginning farmers and local agricultural communities, opposing negative stereotypes and promoting sustainable farming practices.
