I was born and raised in Calgary, but I learned the most while traveling worldwide! My travels have given me an international perspective and taught me the importance of family and learning from those I meet. Every member of a tribe or family is important and deserves to be heard. If you take the time to listen, you may be able to change their outlook, but more importantly, you may find they change your outlook on life or a project.
A successful team/project is not one we work for; it is one we all work with to succeed and get home safely to those we love. The Masai tribe in Kenya first taught me that, and my Oil Sands family reinforced that. That is always the best part of admin work…figuring out how I can help my teammates and their loved ones.
