First-generation student studying Econometrics & Quantitative Economics in my senior year at USF in Tampa, FL. I started out in Computer Science, but I was invited by a friend to attend an Investment Club meeting, and that’s when I discovered my true passion for finance. I made the decision to switch to my current major in the second semester of my sophomore year, and since then, I’ve been determined to find my place in this highly competitive industry.
I’ve completed an internship in Equity Research for a Private Equity fund at GP Investments, which has opened my eyes to a wide range of knowledge and solidified my commitment to pursuing a career in finance. Through this experience, I’ve gained hands-on exposure to equity research, financial modeling, and the decision-making processes behind private equity investing.
Outside of my internship, I was also part of the Investment Club at USF, where I served as an analyst in the FICC division. I had the opportunity to lead a team of five associates, and together we dived into financial analysis, credit risk assessments, and market insights. Definitely one of the most rewarding parts of my college experience, getting to learn alongside others who are just as curious and driven, while building something valuable as a team.
