Sérgio Márcio de Freitas Leite is born Belo Horizonte - MG, Brazil
o Currently he was appointed as CEO of BAFER- Bahia Railway S.A. for the implementation of 540km railway in Bahia State in Brazil.
o Partner of SGL Consultoria Empresarial, a Consultancy Company working on Territorial Development, Businesses Development, International Partnership and Development of Sustainable Agendas with Municipalities and member of The Board of Executives in SERENG Group.
o Institutional Relations and Sustainability Director (Southern and Corumbá Systems) in Vale S.A. from June 2018 to October 2020.
o President of Transnordestina Logística S.A. from September 2016 up to June 2018.
o Sergio Leite was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (“CSP”) from February 2014 up to September 2016. He has been also the Chairman of CSP and Vale Oman Pelletizing Company LLC (“VOPC”) since July 2013.
o From 2011 up to 2013 he was the Country Manager and Managing Director for Vale activities in Argentina and Canada (Rio Colorado and Kronau-Saskatchewan Projects)
o From 2007/4 up to 2011/9, he worked in the Middle East and Southeast Asia as the Project Director for the Vale’s Malaysia Iron Project, Vale Oman Distribution Center (VODC) and Vale Oman Pelletizing Company (VOPC).
o In 2010 he was also appointed as CEO of VOPC- Vale Oman Pelletizing Company in Oman.
o Before these positions, he worked in Brazil on several Operational Executive positions in Vale S.A.
