Kelley School of Business Direct Admit: Granted direct admission into the Kelley School of Business based on high academic performance in high school. I’m a junior at Indiana University studying Finance and Business Analytics I’m originally from San Francisco, California. Moving to Indiana without mentors in finance forced me to become adaptable early on. I had to build my own understanding of the industry through classes, networking, self-learning, and putting myself in situations where I could learn faster. I’ve been playing tennis for about 12 years now and that has shaped how I handle pressure. I’ve grown up learning how to make quick decisions, adjust when something is not working, and stay mentally resilient in competitive situations. Professionally, that mindset has shown up most in my finance and analytics experiences. At Second Hour Capital, I reviewed CIMs and produced a solar industry analysis report which helped me build a stronger foundation in investment analysis and industry research.I’m currently a Technology and Business Analysis TA, where I help students with Excel projects involving data cleansing, Power Pivot, Power Query, Power BI, pivot tables, and solver-based optimization. That role has strengthened my technical communication because students often ask questions that are not directly taught in class, so I have to troubleshoot quickly and be resourceful under pressure. I’m positive that I can bring my background and my will to learn to any organization.More...
