Ngqapheli Mchunu is a social sciences researcher whose areas of expertise and passionate interest encompass democratic quality, corruption, governance, public opinion research, and service delivery. With nearly a decade of experience, he has undertaken highly impactful research working with key state institutions such as the SANDF, the Electoral Commission, the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, the Zondo Commission and the Department of Science and Innovation. His skill set encompasses survey design, data collection, and analysis employing qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods, all underpinned by his comprehensive understanding of different methodologies. He holds a PhD in political science from Stellenbosch University. His current role is that of a research specialist, working in the DCES unit at the Human Sciences Research Council.
