My name is Franky Redente, and I am a Sound Designer, Audio Engineer, and Music Producer with twenty-five years of professional experience. My work spans various creative fields, including Sound Design, Audio Engineering, Music Production, Post-Production, Procedural and Spatial-Interactive Audio, Software Development, and Events Planning.
My solo and collaborative music projects have been played and supported by BBC Radio 1, NTS Radio, WorldWideFM, Gilles Peterson, Roman Flügel, Slam, Robert Hood, Laurent Garnier, and many more.
As a software developer and sound designer, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with composer/programmer Robert M. Thomas on projects for renowned clients and collaborators such as the London Contemporary Orchestra, Massive Attack, The Barbican, Google, Bose, Selfridges, Boiler Room, The Victoria and Albert Museum, and Nottingham University’s Mixed Reality Lab, among others.
In my last role as the Lead Sound Designer at Unmind, a workplace wellbeing platform, I oversaw and executed all aspects of audio production across various formats—including branding, advertising, marketing, and content—ensuring creativity and excellence in every audio asset. My work spanned mixed media, long-format film interviews, podcasts, soundscapes, sound mixes, and original musical compositions. Unmind’s clients and collaborators included notable names like BBC, Disney, The New York Times, John Lewis, Uber, the NHS, Major League Baseball, and more.
In 2024, my sound design and music composition work for the Wellbeing Champions campaign was shortlisted for the InsideOut Community Awards alongside projects from BBC's Planet Earth III, Bang & Olufsen, and Waitrose & Partners.More...
