I established, implemented and currently lead the volunteering unit (SU Volunteer) at Queen's University Belfast Students' Union, developing and implementing volunteering policy, procedures and strategy which supports meaningful student engagement and community impact. I manage the day to day operations of the unit, ensuring it is effectively resourced, runs efficiently, provides a quality service and is well placed to influence where necessary. I support and manage a skilled and effective staff team in achieving ambitious targets in a fast paced and dynamic environment, alongside managing a delivery budget.
As a Youth Work practitioner, I create the environment where students feel empowered to address the inequalities, injustices, and causes they are passionate about.
