Melanie has experienced a 28-year, award-winning professional career in Information Technology (IT) Knowledge Management, commercial and governmental sectors. Her experiences are relevant and significant indicators of her ability to succeed as the owner of QualityOne Communications Consulting, LLC.
After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in English, with a minor in Business Administration in 1996 from East Carolina University, Melanie consulted for 28 years as a Technical Writer, Process Improvement Lead, Change Control Chairperson, Project Manager, and Communications Lead (wearing many hats) servicing companies such as IBM, American Red Cross, EPA, Fannie Mae, Unisys, and the FCC, Lockheed Martin, NHI, AAMC, Beech Street Capital, and Bank of America, just to name a few. Servicing these companies afforded her the skills, experience, and network to establish QualityOne Communications LLC in 2007, where she contracts to IT organizations for other Technical Communicators.
Melanie’s preference is process improvement in financial industries, and, in that same industry is where she recognized fully her skills, and used her knowledge of her Bachelor of Arts minor in business, in stock trading. Subsequently, she established the investment component of QualityOne Communications, Quality Investments, and the Facebook Group, Black Quality Investments Group (BQIG).
As one who is passionate about obtaining fruitful knowledge, in 2012, Melanie earned her Master of Science degree in Psychology in hopes of better understanding human behavior to support those aspiring to lead in the professional world. This accomplishment led her to establish the community service component of QualityOne Communications, QualityGirl Program.
