My career started with eight years in the U.S. Air Force supporting radar and ground communication systems around the world. After earning my degree in Aerospace Engineering, I went on to work as a Systems Engineer, Program Manager, Operations Director and Independent Management Consultant.
I have always done work on the side to try and make the world a better place, and I have been a STEM advocate and mentor for more than 20 years. I was President of three Women in Aviation International chapters (all separate 501c3 organizations), having been a member for more than 20 years.
One of the highlights of my career was working for a New Mexico State Representative (part-time) for six years in a Chief of Staff type role. I managed her emails and calendar, handled constituent issues on her behalf, coordinated meetings to work on draft legislation, and planned and photographed her events.
