Born in São Paulo, Álvaro graduated Cum Lauda in Economics at IBMEC in 2004, entering the financial market directly and accumulating a valuable know-how from the business world that has been extremely useful to him in his career. In 2006 he decided to dedicate his life to music, moving to Boston to join Berklee College of Music. There he graduated Magna Cum Laude with 3 different formations, Music Business, Film Scoring and Performance/Pro-music. He received the Berklee Achievement Scholarship for his performance and prominence in his involvement with the school. After participating in multiple recording projects during his time in Boston, when he moved to New York in 2010 he took on a strong role as a studio producer and freelance musician, participating in multiple recordings and producing records for dozens of independent artists on the North American scene, having recorded in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hartford (CT), Boston, Maine, Philadelphia, among others. His works include artists such as Alicia Lemke, Darra, Stone Mountain Station, Alternative Facts, Dennis Cahlo & The Change, On Impulse, Marley Munroe, Charley Row, Model Citizen, Crane Kick, and his own improvisation and Spontaneous Music project, Project K-Paz, with whom he recorded four albums, the first being the first in the renowned Avatar studio, the largest in NY. After living in New York for 4 years, Álvaro returned to São Paulo in 2014, where he quickly positioned himself as a freelance musician/producer, as well as an entrepreneur in the educational music market. In partnership with Companhia das Cordas, he set up the Preparatory Course for Berklee, having sent dozens of young Brazilian musicians to the prestigious college. He also became a founding partner at Editora Passarim, through which he obtained the exclusive translation rights of the Berklee Press catalog into Portuguese, a business that is also on a growing trajectory.
