Randy Kane is an entrepreneur turned investor with over 25 years of experience building, managing, and investing in leading-growth companies. At Profec Partners, Randy identifies unique businesses with potential for scale and provides growth capital to early-stage companies from their inception through traditional venture capital investments.
As a strategic advisor and entrepreneur at heart, Randy works directly with entrepreneurs to ensure their continued success, from financial advisement to re-inventing processes, exploring every angle so that Profec Partner’s member companies can execute their business strategies successfully, and to their fullest potential. He advises management teams while providing precise customizations of business models — all with the same energy and passion as if it were his own company.
Randy is currently an Adjunct Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Leadership at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Business as well as an advisor to eLab, Cornell’s renowned student accelerator.
Previously, Randy started in investment banking and eventually moved into management consulting, which led to him co-founding a strategy consulting firm, Acquis Consulting Group. As the Managing Partner of Acquis, Randy designed creative, custom solutions for global clients and ensured they were executed successfully. The result was a leading boutique consultancy famous for its ability to deliver extraordinary results, time and time again. Randy has worked with some of the world’s leading enterprises across an array of industries — including many of the Fortune 500 — as well as varied early-stage companies through Solidea Capital – the private equity practice he incubated at Acquis.
Most recently, Randy served as the COO and Advisor to the CEO and founder of DanceBody, a dance-inspired fitness company, helping to build and grow the company from inception.
