Everyone does something unique in his or her job. Everyone works for his or her own reasons. Most companies try to simplify their recruitment marketing message but end up with a watered down recruitment position that leaves potential candidates with more questions than answers. I help uncover the reasons unique to a role, department and company, and present the employer brand and employee value proposition to the right candidate audience as the best fit for their career at that time through segmentation and personalization to find the best talent. I sit at a crossroads of sorts – part digital, part marketing, part communications, and part HR. I’m not a recruiter, but I support recruiters, hiring managers and HR Business Partners. Like many jobs now, this role didn’t really exist until recently. My friends don’t really know what I do. They think I’m Chandler Bing from “Friends”. So I tell them “I’m the only marketer in HR”.
