I am a Co-founder of Points, a business enterprise in The Gambia that is modernizing the Senegambian Bechek System. Bechek was known as a system that allows individuals or communities to take from a vendor on credit and pay in installments until the amount for the product or service is completed.
At Points, we are modernizing Bechek through Microfinance Partnerships that allow our users to deposit at any of their branches nationwide—anytime and wherever amount—until their deposits grow, and then they contact us for redemption of materials or services across the country through our partnered vendors.
I am also currently the Chief Operating Officer of Help Desk Gambia, a social enterprise that empowers people and communities and connects them to opportunities through tailored programs for greater access and impact.
Moreover, I have taught Literature in English language for almost half a decade at one of our renowned junior schools, Kotu Junior.
