Tom Roman is an attorney, advocate, and peer support specialist with over 30 years of experience helping individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health challenges. After entering recovery himself in 2002, Tom shifted from a legal practice focused on families impacted by addiction to hands-on work in behavioral health. For the past two decades, he has dedicated himself to supporting attorney wellness, peer mentorship, and recovery advocacy. A long-time volunteer with the ABA Commission on Lawyers Assistance Programs and active participant in lawyers’ recovery groups across the Mid-Atlantic, Tom continues to champion access to care through initiatives like North Carolina’s Recovery Alliance Initiative.
