FIONA KAY WILLIS BIO
Fiona Kay Willis has 30+ years of television producing, writing, and project management experience. For the past 20+ years, Fiona has been the executive producer of the national public television health series Second Opinion with Joan Lunden, on which she oversees all aspects of production, writing, editing, budgeting, public relations, station relations, outreach, fundraising, web development, and social media. She is also the Consulting Producer of the PBS financial reality series, Opportunity Knock$. Prior to her work in public broadcasting, Willis’ credits included The Joan Rivers Show, Lifetime Television’s, Our Home and Handmade by Design, FOX’s, The Mark Walberg Show, The Family Channel, and Nickelodeon. In June 2021, Willis released her independent film about gay rights called Out in Rural America, which is currently airing on public television stations across the country. She has also produced two films on the opioid epidemic in America, both of which aired on public television stations nationwide. Some of Willis’ writing experiences include work as a freelance speechwriter for the North American President of Xerox, writer/editor of author Dian Thomas’ book, Backyard Roughing it Easy, editor of Thomas’ book, Recipes for Roughing it Easy, and editor of Liz Ferro’s book Finish Line Feeling.
