I started my legal career as a student in Criminal matters as well as Provincial Offence matters. I worked for three years at the Ontario College of Teachers as the Associate Decision Editor. I attended the Tribunal hearings, summarized the evidence presented and then assisted the panel with drafting the legal decision. As Decision Editor, I not only succinctly summarized the facts presented, the evidence and testimony - I also was needed to ensure the decision was in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations. My work has resulted in improved legal frameworks and practices within the college. In the role of Associate Decision Editor, I consistently worked as a part of team when I conducted and led the private decision editing panel discussion. This role required finesse and sensitivity as I was in charge of guiding the panel through the dishes in writing sessions without influencing their opinions on the matter, while at the same time, ensuring the decision was legally sound and would hold up on appeal. This role required excellent writing skills and great attention to detail.
I now have transitioned to working in the Martial Arts full time. It is my passion and I’m lucky that I am able to pursue it. Aside from holding a high rank in my art, I am one of the main teachers at my dojo. I am also in the middle of creating. Women’s Self Defence Program.More...
