As the Grants & Marketing at Clearwater Free Clinic, Delores Battle is passionate about creating and executing effective marketing campaigns and writing compelling grant proposals that raise awareness and funds for free health care to the uninsured and underserved population in Pinellas County. Delores has written 6-figure grants, assists with the manage of the website, social media, email, and print communications, and organizes and promotes events and fundraisers. She has successfully increased online donations and website traffic in the past year, thanks to her skills and certifications in digital, social media, and content marketing.
Delores has also received her Master of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from Southern New Hampshire University, where she specialized in non-profit marketing and communication. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Florida A&M University. She has interned in digital marketing with the Office of University Housing during her undergraduate studies and served as the Social Media Marketing Manager for the National Association of Black Journalists' Annual Convention two years in a row. She has published several articles on topics such as social justice, campus life, and community engagement.
