Shivdi Singh is a development professional with over 15 years of experience in implementing multi-country decentralized development programs. Originally from Trinidad and now based in the United Kingdom, Shivdi holds a Master’s Degree in International Development from the Institute of Development Studies, Sussex, UK. Her expertise spans sustainability consulting, private sector engagement, supply chain due diligence with a focus on human rights, and economic development strategies.
Throughout her career, Shivdi has contributed to a wide range of initiatives across the Caribbean and beyond. She has worked extensively on local economic development projects, serving as a Country Manager for the Caribbean Local Economic Development Programme and as a Project Manager for the Economic Development Board of Trinidad and Tobago. Her work has also involved providing advisory support to companies on improving supply chain due diligence, with a particular emphasis on addressing social and environmental risks.
Shivdi’s experience includes independent consulting on capacity development for business support organizations, research on South-South trade and investment, and municipal development planning in Trinidad. She has collaborated with diverse stakeholders, including private sector entities, national and local governments, academia, civil society, and the public sector.
Her professional engagements have been funded by prominent international organizations such as USAID, Global Affairs Canada, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), GIZ (German Aid), and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
