Possessing multi-faceted experience within institutional and workplace learning & development, from facilitating training and assessments, workplace learning strategy implementation and instructional design, to workplace coaching in numerous diverse industries and from startups, government, retail, petrochemicals, hospitals, logistics, and prisons. After years of hosting events for friends and family with numerous feedback of "you should be doing this for a living..." Mark finally broke out of the shell and pursued his passion in entertainment and the arts from 20 years in training and the hospitality business.
In entertainment, he is best known for his quick witted wicked sense of humor whom is quickly able to build rapport & engage audiences. In hosting any event, he goes all out to craft unique and fresh ways in getting audiences to enjoy themselves. Aside to hosting, he has pursued his passion for acting progressed to being casted in theatre, commercial shoots and dramas.
In training, he is an energetic advocate for lifelong learning and people development, Mark coins the term "learning design evangelist" in relation to his passion in seeking more innovative methods in learning design & facilitation. He possesses a Masters in Training & Development from Griffith University in Australia and had completed his Bachelor of Science in Travel Industry Management, majoring in Hospitality Management. He is also professionally certified by the Workforce Skills Qualifications Framework in Singapore with a Diploma in Adult & Continuing Education(DACE), and the Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment(ACTA).
Mark has held the positions of Country Trainer in Louis Vuitton Singapore and Training & development Manager at national Council of Social Service(Social Service Institute).
