Dr. Candy Llewellyn is the Principal of North Elementary School, where she leads with the belief that “strong relationships are the key to everything else.” With more than 20 years in education, she has served as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, Instructional Specialist for Reading, and Assistant Principal. Her leadership is rooted in instructional expertise, equity, and a passion for creating a warm, student-centered school culture.
Under her leadership, North Elementary has implemented new reading and math curricula with fidelity, reduced chronic absenteeism by over 10%, and set ambitious SMART goals in reading, math, and science. She has also established innovative programs such as the House System, which fosters student belonging and character development, and launched North StarCast, a school podcast designed to strengthen family-school connections.
Dr. Llewellyn is committed to building strong community partnerships and securing opportunities that enrich student learning.
