Brief summary of my professional career. My name is Paul Vincent Cox, and I hold a South African passport . I currently reside in Somerset West . I am married. Regarding my qualifications, I hold an MBA from UCT, which is my highest qualification to date. I have accumulated 36 years of valuable experience in the financial services industry, where I have had the privilege of working in various sectors. These sectors include Unit Trust, Banking (both secured and unsecured), Asset Management, Employee Benefits, Linked Products, and Long-term Insurance. I have recently shifted my focus to Health Insurance, which I believe holds great potential for broader financial inclusion in South Africa. Notably, I was responsible for drafting the original Old Mutual response to NHI, demonstrating my extensive knowledge in both long and short-term insurance aligned to the future of Medical Insurance. Subsequently, I ventured into consulting for 2 years with Solve Consulting, during which I established the Old Mutual Wealth Management offering. I ran one of their Life Companies and made a significant impact to the Embedded Value which was subsequently brought into the overall OM life book. I was then asked to take over the Health Portfolio within the overall group and embed the health value proposition into the overall customer value proposition. After that, I spent 2.5 years at Direct Axis, working in the unsecured lending environment and collaborating with leading corporates such as First Rand, WesBank, ClMore...
