Pandu Sastrowardoyo is an Indonesian technologist, founder, and infrastructure nerd who started coding at six, studied Environmental Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung, and got into AI early through expert systems work in the late 2000s. She spent formative years in enterprise tech, including six years in IBM’s Systems and Technology group, which grounded her in hardware, infrastructure, and large-scale systems thinking, before jumping full-time into the blockchain world. Over the past decade, she has co-founded and led multiple companies and organizations: Blockchain Zoo as a consultancy and venture studio, Blocksphere as a Gartner-listed blockchain consulting and development firm, and the Indonesian Blockchain Association (Asosiasi Blockchain Indonesia) as a key industry body interfacing with regulators, banks, and policymakers. She later founded DeBio Network, a privacy-preserving bioinformatics and medical data platform, and Myriad.Social, a decentralized social network focused on free expression and user ownership. Along the way she has become a visible public educator and commentator on crypto and AI, notably as host and executive producer of shows under the Bloomberg Technoz banner, moderating conversations about digital sovereignty, infrastructure, and the social impact of emerging tech.
Across these roles, she has helped design and launch multiple independent blockchains, raised roughly $6 million for her startups, and advised governments, enterprises, and financial institutions on how to move from “blockchain hype” to practical, sovereign infrastructure.
She is currently taking a doctorate program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Walsh College, in collaboration with the University of Texas at Austin, where her interests center on hybrid (neuro-symbolic) AI, explainability, and sovereign/self-hosted AI infrastructure.
