By way of background, I am a Technician Engineer with over a decade of experience in the power distribution sector, having worked with the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) under VRA. I began my career in 2011 as a Maintenance Mechanic, where I was involved in line patrols, preventive maintenance, and fault repairs on the electrical network. Over the years, I have grown through various roles, including serving as a Control Room Operator and later being promoted to Technician Engineer.
One of my key achievements includes leading the eGIS unit, where I supervised data collection and digitization of electrical network assets, significantly improving operational efficiency and service delivery. I have also been actively involved in processing new service applications using GIS tools. Currently, I serve as a Safety Coordinator, where I oversee safety compliance, promote safe work practices, and contribute to reducing workplace incidents.
