From classroom to boardroom: 20 years of education experience and 12 years of leadership and entrepreneurship on Bonaire in the Caribbean, now education consultant and strategist in Madrid
I started my career as a teacher and grew into a passionate leader, first within private education in Bonaire, then at Fundashon Forma, and later as advisor and eventually director of MBO Bonaire. With dedication, I built strong teams and innovative education concepts. At the same time, I founded MOANA BV, Bonaire’s first social enterprise, successfully meeting the growing demand from 2018 to 2023 for high-quality kitesurf gear, beach fashion, and stand-up paddleboard tours and lessons.
Driven by community engagement, I organized impactful events like Kiteride, Kitemanera, and King of the Caribbean, connecting and inspiring Bonaire’s youth, an extension of my entrepreneurial spirit.
Since relocating to Madrid, I work as an independent education consultant, combining in-depth expertise in qualifications frameworks, vocational education, and quality assurance. My work spans national and international projects: from advising ministries and educational boards to developing future-oriented assessments and competitions.
