Fernando Ferro is a filmmaker from Caracas, Venezuela. He began his career by producing and directing international soap operas for the Venezuelan conglomerate, Venevision International.
In 2015, Fernando co-created and Executive Produced the political commentary program, “The Rick Sanchez Show” for CNN en Español.
In 2019, Fernando became Vice President of Content Strategy for film financing and production company, Foton Pictures. He oversaw the productions of "Pink Skies Ahead" starring Jessica Barden and Marcia Gay Harden, which was set to open the SXSW festival the year the world was struck with the pandemic. It was later purchased by MTV Films. "Changing the Game", a documentary that chronicled the lives of three high school athletes—all at different stages of their athletic seasons, personal lives, and unique paths as transgender teens which was acquired by Hulu, and the "The Birthday Cake", starring Ewen McGregor, Val Kilmer, Ashley Benson, Penn Badgley, and Shiloh Fernandez which was released by Screen Media and premiered during the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival.
Fernando is currently set to Direct "Colors", an atmospheric horror starring Shiloh Fernandez and Theo Rossi. He is also attached to Co-produce alongside Jay Van Hoy "Wichita Libra", written by Henry Dunham (The Standoff and Sparrow Creek). "Colors" is repped by The Exchange, and "Wichita Libra" is repped by Mr.Smith respectfully.
Fernando is producing along with Jay Van Hoy ( The Witch & The Lighthouse) "PTA" written and Directed by Jason Jones (The Daily Show, Detour) & "To Die Sane" written and directed by the critically acclaimed creator of "Selena", Moises Zamora.
Fernando created the docu-series "On the Line with Juan Ma" about the life of the only Colombian Michelin Star Chef in the United States with Vice Studios.
