Junru Chen is a multimedia artist and multidisciplinary designer with expertise at the intersection of fashion, technology, and creative direction. She holds a BFA in Fashion Design from FIT and a Master’s in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU, blending aesthetic vision with technical innovation.
Her professional background spans interactive installations, multimedia performances, UX design, and content strategy. She has led projects such as Broken, Resilient, an installation exploring emotional resilience; From Zero to One to Null, a performance integrating live visuals and audience interaction; and visual production for the Golden Night Concert. Beyond cultural work, she contributed to the UX redesign and business strategy of Mathzoos, an AI-based learning platform, and managed branding, editorial shoots, and pop-up activations for fashion and lifestyle companies.
Junru’s achievements include developing e-textile costumes with soft sensors for contemporary dance, designing immersive multi-sensory environments, and managing international projects such as the Jinshanling Great Wall Marathon.
