I am a recent Biochemistry graduate from the University of Liverpool, currently pursuing a Master in Research (MRes) in Biological Sciences and Translational Medicine. Throughout my academic journey, I have cultivated strong analytical, research, and laboratory skills, particularly in the fields of drug development and translational research. My MRes dissertation, titled ‘In Vivo Investigation of Drug-Induced Kidney Injury,’ explores the mechanisms behind drug toxicity, aiming to improve treatment safety and efficacy. This work reflects my commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and improving healthcare outcomes.
Alongside my research, I have developed exceptional interpersonal and organisational abilities through various outreach and volunteer initiatives. For example, I have been actively involved in the Lourdes pilgrimage, where I assisted elderly and sick individuals by supporting their daily needs and providing companionship. This experience strengthened my ability to empathise, communicate effectively, and work within a team setting—skills essential for any outreach programme.
Additionally, my leadership experience in athletics, particularly representing Liverpool in football and athletics, has enhanced my teamwork, resilience, and time-management abilities. These attributes complement my academic skills, allowing me to balance multiple commitments while maintaining high standards of performance.
