For the last 3 years, I've spent most of my time design engaging events, convenings, and learning experiences for the 110+ educators in City Year's Network for School Improvement (NSI) pilot program. Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, our team has supported 36 public schools across Milwaukee, Tulsa, and Jacksonville to reimagine what schools can be, using Continuous Improvement methodologies, while keeping student and teacher voices at the center.
The pilot is coming to a close this summer. Telling the story of my colleagues' work through journal articles (I'm published, y'all!), newsletters, slide decks, blog posts, social media, and conference abstracts was another part of my role that I've relished. Coming up with just the right language for a certain audience is a puzzle I will always enjoy putting together.
In the past I've facilitated group trainings and onboarding for new employees and partners, founded product user communities, and managed multiple tech platforms and databases to streamline processes and ensure quality standards.
