Yves Ulysse
Yves Ulysse is a cornerstone of Montreal’s fashion and event scene.
He is the founder of Maison M3 and the annual event M3 / Mode Masculine Montréal.
Born in Haiti, he arrived in Canada in 1979, settling in the vibrant city of Montreal, which became fertile ground for his creativity. From a young age, Yves developed a passion for entertainment and fashion. A self-taught artist, he draws inspiration from encounters, cultures, travels, his past experiences, and daily life.
Yves excels in the arts, particularly dance and visual arts. He gradually emerged as a concept creator and artistic director. In 1999 and 2001, he had the opportunity to design innovative and creative concepts for the brand Diesel. His career then expanded into Montreal’s nightlife scene, where he made his mark by creating event concepts for clubs and parties that became legendary in the city. Among them: Bal en Blanc, Stereo, and Circus.
“When you’re a multidisciplinary artist, it can be difficult to find just one field that allows you to fully express your potential,” explains Yves Ulysse.
His professional journey took a new turn. His passion for events and creativity led him, in 2015, to launch and host the popular web TV channel CloseAccess.tv. This platform celebrates Montreal’s lifestyle, fashion, and arts, catering to culture and art enthusiasts from all backgrounds while promoting artistic creativity. For over three years, this entertainment-rich channel has covered social and cultural events in Montreal.
