Simon is an award-winning Creative Director and Filmmaker with a passion for uncovering the emotional core of a story. His work connects deeply with both local and global audiences, as proven by a track record of delivering powerful, authentic storytelling for some of the world’s leading brands and organisations. In 2006, Simon co-founded the production company Lonelyleap. Over the following 15 years, he helped grow it from a two-person setup into a thriving studio of 50 full-time creatives across London and New York. As Creative Director, his intuitive sensibility shaped the studio’s direction and creative output, delivering campaigns for major names including Google, The World Economic Forum, The National Trust, Nokia, BBC Worldwide, Rolex, and Burberry. Having directed documentaries and campaigns in over 30 countries, Simon is a remarkably versatile filmmaker. His work is known for its emotional depth and craftsmanship, balancing cinematic visuals with sensitive, human storytelling. Simon consistently demonstrates world-class creative leadership. He’s led multidisciplinary in-house teams—Producers, Directors, Creatives, Editors, and Designers—across a wide range of projects, from 30/60-second TVCs for cancer charities to original formats for the BBC such as World Changing Ideas and Genius Behind. He’s also directed groundbreaking long-form branded content like We Speak Music for Nokia. He excels at developing lasting client relationships. With the World Economic Forum, he turned one-off commissions into a five-year retainer worth over £750,000 per year. His long-term creative partnership with The National Trust repositioned the organisation from a family day-out brand to a vital conservation charity protecting and conserving the Uk’s natural habitats. Simon thrives on collaboration and fosters environments where creativity can flourish, whether by mentoring emerging talent or working alongside established creatives to inspire award-winning work. Always hands-on, Simon remains close to the creative process—fromMore...
