Hi!
I have a degree from the University of MN in Communications, which turned into an extensive background in customer service, having worked for Gateway, QVC, in various other companies throughout my early career. Then, I went back to college (University of South Dakota) and received an associate of arts in Nursing. I was in that career for many years, with an emphasis on ER, trauma, critical care. With the advent of Covid, and all that went with it, I decided to change directions and leave the nursing field. I no longer hold my licenses, to be clear. I then worked as a support specialist for Avel Telemedicine in their ICU department for a couple of years, but then the decision was made to outsource those positions to the Philippines. I did another 180, went to school again, got my CDL, and I’m now driving a concrete truck and I love it! However, I am placed on layoff for half of the year, and it is also a very physical job, so much more than nursing. I am looking to transition into being able to be completely remote, and with my varied skill set I think that’s absolutely possible.More...
