“My tech journey actually started the day I got my first Android phone in my first year of college.
I was fascinated by how it worked under the hood — so fascinated that I dove into the XDA Developers community, learned how to break and rebuild it, and ended up creating my own custom ROMs and kernels, RazorRoms and RazorReborn. They got recognition in the community, and I even contributed to CyanogenMod and LineageOS.
That curiosity quickly turned into building real solutions — a student notes-sharing platform with upvotes, tech fest registration software, and live leaderboards for events. I wasn’t just coding for fun anymore; I was solving problems.
Right out of college, Shiv from CyanogenMod reached out to me and asked if I’d lead the frontend team at Esper — and that’s how I became their 3rd employee. Over the years, I wore multiple hats — Product, Marketing, Frontend, Backend, Cloud, Android, and a dash of DevOps. My first big breakthrough was building a remote diagnostics tool — essentially a ‘TeamViewer for edge devices’ — in record time, which later became one of Esper’s key offerings.
From there, I moved into leadership — managing engineering teams, optimizing onboarding flows, setting up full end-to-end testing platforms, leading the design system initiative, driving cloud cost optimizations worth $300K, and even optimizing Google Maps integrations saving $140K. Eventually, I stepped into the Architecture team, where I formalized the Architecture Council processes, met enterprise customers in Seattle to understand their pain points firsthand, and translated those into long-term product and architecture improvements.
Early this year, I decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship.
