Biodiversity Conservation | Bioculturality | Regenerative Tourism | Community Facilitation & Governance | Storytelling & Spiritual Connection Lilia González Moreno is a leader in community-based biodiversity conservation, regenerative tourism, and the facilitation of participatory processes, with nearly 20 years of experience in Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. Her work focuses on weaving together biodiversity, community life, and territorial regeneration, integrating ancestral wisdom with innovative strategies. She is the founder and president of Kanché Asociación Civil, a pioneering organization in developing community governance models for biodiversity conservation and the preservation of traditional knowledge. Through Kanché, she has fostered the articulation of grassroots communities to protect their territory, promote agroecology, and develop regenerative tourism. She is also the founder of Cupaima, a space where she designs immersive experiences that interweave regenerative travel, spirituality, and deep connection with nature. Lilia is an expert in facilitation and conflict resolution, with a Master’s degree and doctoral studies in Peace, Conflict and Development Philosophy. Her approach centers on building participatory processes, influencing public policy, and regenerating territories through community autonomy. As a facilitator, storyteller, voice artist, and soundscape creator, she explores new ways of conveying our connection with the Earth through art and sound. Currently, she lives in the jungle, surrounded by the biodiversity she helps protect and the community she serves. She defines herself as “the bridge woman”, uniting seemingly opposite worlds: the contemporary with the ancestral, science with spirituality, ecological regeneration with travel. Her work not only seeks to preserve the territory but to inspire new ways of inhabiting it—with awareness, respect, and reciprocity.More...
