I am a resort customer helper with Jet2Holidays. I meet guests and deal with any issues and problems they may have with accommodation. There is a lot of administration work surrounding this position, and all details of guests, any communication must all be logged. It has taught me time - management too as I have to visit a few different places throughout the time and have a set time limit for each location. I also have to multi-task and deal with new issues as well as following-up with other ones from the different accommodations.
Previous to this, I worked for a villa rental company for 13 years. I dealt with reservations, meeting and greeting guests, and dealing with all issues and problems. I also had the 24/7 emergency phone as well as control over the website livechat. With over 150 villas, it was a very busy company with lots of guests and constant communication from the time of reservation until the departure day. It needed a lot of organisation and multi- tasking, as well as a lot of administration work, and was very demanding in the peak summer months
Before this, I did various administration positions and some temping work where i was sent to different offices to cover. This taught me to work well with other people and as part of a team.
I am very adaptable, I know how to speak and communicate with people, to resolve their problems and help them. I am computer literate and have worked with various programs, MS Office, Excel, and Powerpoint, and have a typing speed of 88WPM.
