For the past 20 years I have straddled creative and digital learning worlds, as an educator, sound and digital artist, musician, and designer. I am particularly intrigued by diverse and complex problems that require imaginative approaches in their unravelling – be it in curriculum design, interactive arts practice, or music design.
I enjoy designing learning experiences from conception to delivery, taking into consideration the inevitable diversity of participants. I approach learning not only conceptually, but systematically as well, focusing on the experience of a learner and the structures within which people learn.
I am therefore committed to creating behind-the-scenes tools to help organisations work better to enable enriching learning experiences. My interest in experience design also extends to my creative work where I am fascinated by devising immersive audio environments that encourage thought and engagement. Core to my approach are three ideas:
1. There are always new ideas, concepts and solutions to explore.
2. Creativity is a team sport – there is no such thing as a lone designer.
