Ileana Reyes Retana is a dedicated educator with over 25 years of teaching experience at PrepaTec and Tec de Monterrey in Toluca, as well as Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from Tec de Monterrey and Master’s degrees in Communication from Universidad Iberoamericana and in Education from Universidad de la Rioja.
Her exceptional teaching has earned her numerous accolades, including the “Borrego de Oro” (2011), “Inspirational Professor” (2015), and “Professor Who Leaves a Mark” (2018). She has pursued studies at institutions such as Mount Royal University (Canada), University of Deusto (Spain), and University of Southampton (England).
A certified International Baccalaureate educator since 2005, Ileana also evaluates IB literature exams. She has contributed to indexed journals, FORUM magazine, book chapters on Mexican authors, and numerous conferences on reading and writing.
