With a background in Health Office Administration, I have a strong foundation in directing organizations effectively. I am a skilled communicator with extensive experience in crisis management. Certified in adult education, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), suicide intervention, substance use management, and peer support, I am well-prepared to help organizations build supportive frameworks for diverse populations.
My career began with expertise in child development, later expanded into adult development with a focus on mental health. Known for my curiosity and enthusiasm, I have consistently pursued knowledge and innovation. Colleagues often refer to me as a lived experience expert. I have been recruited by hospitals and social service organizations to design and deliver training programs emphasizing trauma-informed practice, equity, and inclusion.
One of my key accomplishments was co-developing and facilitating Trauma Informed Practice training at Joseph Brant Hospital, earning me a nomination for an award of excellence. My roles often involve compiling resources, creating interactive learning tools, and delivering impactful training sessions both online and in person.
