Alyssa Stripe is a dedicated Registered Nurse with nearly a decade of experience in the medical field. She started her career as a medical scribe in 2016, working at Iowa Lutheran Hospital with the internal medicine team. She graduated with a BSN from Grandview University in December 2018, and started working as a nurse at the same hospital. In 2023, she left bedside for just shy of 2 years to try case management. While she did excel in this area, she missed bedside and ended up returning to the same hospital she had started at in Sept 2024. She was recognized as one of the 2023 Great Iowa Nurses, an award given to 100 nurses each year to “routinely go above and beyond every day and take that extra step to ensure safe, compassionate care for their patients.” She has a background in clinical education as well, working part time briefly as a clinical educator at her alma mater, and acting as the floor unit educator for several years before leaving to pursue case management.
