PRESENTATION LETTER
My name is Italo Tammer Oliveira de Castro, I am a physician from Brazil and I have been working in Hospitals with a great reputation at my country. During the last 8 years I had experience with Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit and Clinical Ward, and I never stopped to study , so I studied for the boards and went to USA for some rotations in General Surgery (Orange County-CA), Thoracic Surgery (Everett-WA) and Urology (University of Miami). Now I am applying to a research fellow program post. I am humble hard-working person with great experience with different aspect of work and a focused student.
I did my Med School in a great University from Brazil , UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO AMAZONA(FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AMAZONAS) and during the 6 years of Med School I always was a hard work student. In the second year I started to work with a great Researcher in a Biotechnology field (Dr Spartacus Astolfi Filho) and spent 2 years in a double journey as medical student and laboratory technician at biotechnology laboratory. After 2 years I moved to Getulio Vargas Federal University Hospital , the great hospital of my Medical School, and started to work at the biochemistry laboratory during the last 3 years of my Med School, continuing in the double journey at med school and laboratory.
This double journey was important to me because it helped to have a great sense of responsibility since the begging of my formation and gave me the opportunity the work with different aspect in a great University. I met different people that improved my relationship with people and made me understand what is be a part of a team.
I am in fluent in my natural language, Portuguese , and also studied for years Spanish and English .
My hobbies out of Medical field are sports (run,gym,surf,skate,soccer), music (I am a basic guitar player) and books.More...
