As the founding partner of Home Hospital, I have been leading a home health care provider in Guatemala that offers comprehensive and personalized patient care at home since 2012. With a multidisciplinary team of health professionals and medical equipment, we treat patients with various chronic and acute illnesses, reducing the cost of health care by more than 70% and enhancing the quality of life for the patients and their families. We have also secured partnerships with several local and international insurers, such as Bupa, Palig, BMI, and VumiGroup, and received recognition from Global Health & Pharma for three consecutive years as the most innovative home health care provider in Guatemala.
Alongside the care of patients at home, Home Hospital has provided occupational health and safety monitors to factories, construction companies and a church since March 2020. We prevent accidents through trainings, periodic visits to the project fields and emergency assistance. We also comply with the Guatemalan regulation 229-2014 by participating in bipartite committees. As a result, we have contained accidents and improved the safety standards of our clients.
In addition to my passion for home health care and occupational health and safety, I have more than 15 years of experience as a regional finance manager in multinational companies, such as Sika and Morgan Advanced Materials. In these roles, I have improved financial performance, avoided tax fines, debugged financial reports, implemented IFRS, and introduced cloud technology.
