Joe Barwise is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer and co-founder of haus eight, an independent design and film collective. Joe has worked with clients from across Ireland, the UK, Europe and America. This has been on a wide range of projects with a focus on illustration, animation, design for print and screen and motion graphics.
Along side his commercial work Joe is an exhibiting artist, with showings of his illustrations and screen-prints.
“Over the past 12 years I have been working as an independent illustrator/designer but have also worked as part of design team in a traditional studio environment for Big Fish Design and as the lead designer in house for Hamilton Robson as well as other graphic design teams. I’m a hands on designer who loves to be challenged and I’ve been lucky that the projects I work on have enabled me to diversify my skills.
My work to date has ranged between designing for pint and screen, illustration commissions, book design, animation and motion graphic projects, and complete client re-branding. No matter the size of the job I bring the same enthusiasm and professionalism to each project and enjoy building lasting partnerships with my clients and collaborators.
