I embarked on a vocation at the beginning of 1990 that, although I was unaware of its potential, would have a significant impact on numerous individuals and organizations. I was employed as a programmer in the C language at that time to create social science courses for the secondary program of the Ministry of Public Education in Mexico. I subsequently established an educational software company and, in 1995, became a technology coordinator at the Educational Computing Research Center (CICE) at Anáhuac University. I was employed by IBM Mexico in 2000 as the manager of Learning Services and the Knowledge Factory in Latin America. My responsibilities included the provision of learning solutions to various customers in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, and Argentina.
