Frida Torresblanco is the CEO of Braven Films, an independent film, documentary, and television series production company based in New York and Madrid. As a member of the Academy and with a 20-year career as a member of the Producers Guild of America, she is passionate about telling stories through documentary filmmaking.
Frida is a three-time Oscar winner and producer of the acclaimed film Pan's Labyrinth directed by Guillermo del Toro, which won three Academy Awards, three BAFTAs, a Palme d'Or nomination, and a Golden Globe. She co-founded Esperanto, a production company with partners Alfonso Cuarón and Alejandro G. Iñárritu, and served as its CEO for over nine years. She produced The Assassination of Richard Nixon (starring Sean Penn) and Cronicas (directed by Sebastián Cordero and starring John Leguizamo). Together with Alejandro G. Recently, Braven Films signed an exclusive deal with Viacom International Studios (VIS) for the development and production of international content in a beneficial preference agreement.
