I have a diverse 15+ year professional career path led by curiosity: Master’s in Teaching, Spanish, Applied Linguistics. I’ve developed and taught beginning to intermediate language lessons, a one-of-a-kind Chicago practicum course, and soft skills classes for college students where my personal favorite lesson was a mixtape aka playlist assignment. I’ve worked in college student affairs, off campus programs, residence life, conducting trainings ranging from facilities process to triage counseling to staff expectations. I’m great at parties. I’ve lived and worked in a hostel and a 15-story high rise. One time the Chicago police showed up at my door because a student didn’t pay her cab fare. I was a record-breaking collector of 5-star customer reviews for Levelset, which I believe is a testament to aligned values between employee and employer, and even customer. I’ve lived the privilege of meaningfully changing careers. Burnout and I have a complicated relationship. AMA. I became a CSM to maintain and grow relationships with my customers. My favorite moments were the ones where we’d kind of jam together— whether sharing our favorite tv shows or sharing screens and solving problems. I am so very proud to have been part of a culture-rich start-up that exited at $500M. My heart will always be full thinking about that time.
