PRESTON THOLAN is an assistant, writer, and director who recently worked for a top Literary Manager and Partner where he sent submissions on behalf of Emmy-award winning Writers, set pitch meetings, rolled calls, and gave detailed notes. His industry experience paired with an understanding of film history and new media make him uniquely prepared for bridging the gap between internet culture and old Hollywood. He worked directly with the Showrunners of hit shows like Paramount’s Yellowjackets, Netflix’s Maid, and HBO’s The Penguin, as well as EPs of FX’s The Bear and Netflix’s BEEF. While earning his BFA in Screenwriting Preston co-founded Chapman University’s only sketch comedy club, where he performed and directed for live audiences, receiving recognition for his comedy writing.
