My professional training belongs to the old school, where we designed with paper and pencil. I evolved into the digital era from the beginning, starting with the first versions of Corel Draw, Freehand, and PageMaker, and now my work flies through the cloud. For 20 years, I served as the editorial coordinator and graphic editor for the newspaper El Espectador in Colombia. During that time, we were responsible for the production of over 10,000 publications. It may sound crazy, but a newspaper circulates every day and includes several inserted magazines. That’s the school I come from; I was taught to work under extreme pressure with deadlines measured in minutes. I learned how to coordinate the entire production process of a publication, from its original idea through research, writing, photography, editing, design, printing, distribution, and social media.
