Nia has 7+ years of experience in Artist Relations and management with a focus in A&R. She has a thorough understanding of the recording process from start to finish, from booking studio time and curating recording sessions to preparing songs for distribution. Her experience working for a management company, publisher, major label, and independent label has provided her with an understanding of how to work within the label system and also how to maintain a career within the independent sector as well. Nia got her start in music during her time at Spelman where she was a part of the inaugural class of the Spelman College Women and Hip- Hop Collective. She also started working at Generation Now/ Atlantic Records as an intern which led to an A&R and Management assistant role where she supported acts such as Playboi Carti, Killumantii, Seddy Hendrinx, Jack Harlow, Landstrip Chip, Earl on the Beat and more. In addition to Generation Now Nia was also a member of the A&R team at Epic Records where she worked on projects such as 21 Savage, Bia, Giveon, DJ Spinall, Zara Larson, 21 Lil Harold, Mariah The Scientist, Southside, Tyla and many more. She currently works as Director of Creative for Diamond selling Producer Jetson Made’s company SPACEBOY where she oversees their roster of artists and producers and works across the management team. She also served as tour manager for Anycia during Kehlani’s North American run on her “Crash Tour” last year. In addition to career growth Nia prioritizes mentorship within the creative industry and has served as a mentor in the Sony Music University Youth Mentorship program as well as spearheading initiatives such as “Beyond Dreams” , a music entrepreneurship program created by her organization Dream and Manifest Now that helps youth learn about career paths within the music industry.
