entrepreneur, investor, and payments & data science
consultant. Using his twenty years of experience in Data,
Analytics, and Data Science, he has provided insights to
companies including ING Bank, Spotify, Facebook, Uber,
and Google. Notably, he expanded global payments
provider Adyen's Acquiring, Data Science, and Analytics
capabilities, which have been key features in their product
offering, before their successful €20 Billion IPO in June
2018.
As the Head of Data at Dimebox, he developed a Modular Payments platform, which
was delivered with the support of a six-man engineering team before the company
was sold to Verifone for €28 Million. Currently, this platform is used as Verifone’s
Omni-Channel platform, integrating over 40 Acquirers on behalf of their Banking
clients.
In 2018, he was the VP of BI & Data Science for Checkout.com, where he developed a
Data team and helped raise the biggest Series A round at €230M, at a $2 Billion
valuation, to help Checkout.com scale globally.
For the past six years, Dwayne has been the Founder and Principal Consultant for
DataBright, a Data Science and Analytics consultancy firm specializing in supporting
several Top 50 Financial Services companies to modernize their Analytical Stack.
DataBright has was acquired by Bright Data, a Data Aggregator Platform.
Dwayne is a well sought-after consultant with clients including WorldPay, Barclays,
MasterCard, and many more. He is also an advisor to startups such as Milio (Y-
Combinator), an A2A startup based in Colombia, Basis Theory, a Tokenization
platform based in the US, and Flow Your Money, a Dutch Open Banking Automation
Platform.
He publishes daily short-form content on LinkedIn, writes a Payments industry
newsletter called Payments Strategy Breakdown, frequently guest blogs for
companies such as Akurateco, PayShield, and other scale-ups. And has been a
