After training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in theatre direction, I worked for three years as a Stage Manager in major theatres, including the Citizen’s Theatre Glasgow and Greenwich Theatre.
I then worked,at the BBC for 22 years, reaching the role of Director and producer in children’s drama, including Grange Hill.
After leaving the BBC I became a BBC trainerin single camera drama and directing multi camera drama like EastEnders
I was appointed to be artistic director of the Marine theatre, Lyme Regis and then programme manager of the Bridport Arts Centre. I returned to London to manage the theatre inside the Cutty Sark before coming back to Bridport, where I am now a freelance theatre director, and a director
